Castle Stuart / Cabot Highlands. Hope and redemption is the theme of this modern course. Under new ownership and about to be joined by a new course. Blog post up now at thelinksgolfer.com. And the best weather of our trip. Thanks for supporting #alz
Nairn Golf Club. A gentlemen’s & gentlewomen’s club but not a gentle course. Brilliant country and a great course. Blog up on the links golfer website. Thanks for supporting #alzheimerssociety #nairngolfclub
Moray Golf Club. Home of the relentless par 4, our first defence against the Russians, and hardy golfers. Thank you for supporting #alzheimerssociety #moraygolfclub #lossiemouth
Murcar links on Aberdeen’s Sunshine Coast. Supporting #Alzheimer’sSociety #murcargolflinks Blog up on TheLinksGolfer
Royal Porthcawl. Always a pleasure to play here. Sunshine interspersed with lacerating icy rain. I do like the extra definition work on the higher holes which brings out their subtleties on the less linksy side of the course. Great test of golf.
Swansea Bay Golf Club. Restoring the links nature on the south side of the road and along the marsh. A 130 year old course, ravaged by the road, but making a come back. Great value green fees to boot. Thanks for supporting #Alzheimer’sSociety
Doonbeg: Skyfall with a cracking golf course all along the bay and as natural as you like. Blogpost up now on www.thelinksgolfer.com
Ballybunnion; The Old Course. The golfing genie visited us on the back nine and washed a sea fret back and forth to reveal magical hole after magical hole. Blogpost up now www.thelinksgolfer.com
Ballybunnion: Cashen Course The little sister with loads of personality. Sandhills, not dunes, lead you on a riotous journey of tremendous golfing country. Must be played if you go west. Thanks too for donating our green fees to #alzheimerssociety. #
Ballyheigue Castle Golf Club Co Kerry. The most scenic spot but not enough links holes to justify full inclusion BUT it was the perfect start to an August trip and they donated our green fees to #alzheimerssociety Thank you #ballyheiguecastle Blogpo
Irvine Golf Club. Thank you for a great day and donation to #alzheimerssociety Blogpost up now. Hilly course, blind shots and a running battle with the railway. They breed ‘em tough up here
Barassie Links, Kilmarnock, a game of two halves; tree lined around the club house and raw winds beyond. Great par 3s and more than enough railway lines. Did Dr Beeching travel this far? Blogpost up now. Thank you for a very generous welcome and do
